Get Ready to Discover a Story So Crazy It’ll Make You Wonder If We’re Living in an Alternative Universe!
Welcome to iaminnocent.net – where you will learn the shocking true story of how a pastor, a lawyer and a court lied about and acted inappropriately towards an American citizen, causing his divorce (after 31 years of marriage), loss of family home (after 24 years), becoming homeless, ruining a relationship with his daughter, becoming depressed (and even suicidal), and ending his successful career.
Hang on – this ride is going to get bumpy!
This story is about our dad, brother and friend, Tim Hutchinson – a good and decent person. A man whose life was ruined by a pastor named Steven Anderson, who works at Calvary Church in Roseville, MN. He was aided in his efforts by an attorney named Dan Van Loh, a partner in the law firm of Capistrant Van Loh, P.A. and a court located in Ramsey County, MN presided over by referee Elizabeth Clydesdale.
Background
Here is an overview of what happened. (To read a more in-depth account of the events, click here.)
A man named Steven began dating Tim’s daughter, Brittany. Things seemed to be going well until those two became engaged. After that, everything changed, Steven began telling Brittany lies in an effort to make her afraid of her dad. He went as far as claiming her dad is a CIA Assassin who wants to kill both of them – and later would make the outrageous statement that there is a concern her dad would go to their church and murder hundreds of children.
During this time, Tim tried to make peace with Steven 15 times. Steven’s response was to refuse to work towards peace, and later told Tim that he did not want to reconcile with him at all.
At one point, Steven called Tim and said, “If you want to have a relationship with Brittany, then you need to submit to me and allow me to control you!” (How is that even something a normal person would say?!)
Soon after, Steven convinced Brittany to stop talking to her dad. Tim’s response was to contact the church and ask them to help move reconciliation forward by encouraging Steven to agree to mediation. The churches response was to have their attorney contact Tim and demand that he ceases all communication with them. It was later revealed that Steven was being escorted in and out of church each day to ensure his safety (against a non-existent threat.) He literally made all of this up!
Steven then convinced Brittany in joining him to file a Harassment Restraining Order against Tim. He said that one time when Tim went to his apartment to tell Steven that he was “loved and forgiven”, Steven claimed he was so afraid he thought about jumping out of his 2nd story bedroom window and fleeing for his life. He made crazy claims without any evidence – because Tim has never threatened him. Not ever. Steven’s claims are all lies. If Tim was a threat to Steven or the church, why didn’t anyone call the police? Is it because an investigation would reveal the truth?!
At the first court hearing for the HRO, Steven’s lawyer (also representing Brittany), told Tim that if he did not accept the HRO, and instead fought against it, that anyone doing a background check on his daughter (Brittany) in the future would discover that she filed court papers that were not truthful. This discovery would be harmful to her. It should be noted that his daughter is a nurse (RN) and works at a hospital in Minneapolis. In order to protect his daughter, Tim accepted a 2-year HRO (even though the claims were lies.)
After the court hearing Steven married his daughter, and Tim was not allowed to walk her down the aisle. Two of her siblings did not attend the wedding, and neither did anyone from Tim’s side of the family. They know the things that were said about Tim are a lie. In some instances, they were witnesses to some of the allegations made in the HRO, and can attest these either did not happen, or were greatly exaggerated.
During the next 2-years Tim followed the HRO’s and did not violate it. When it was almost time for it to expire, he learned they filed for an extension. This time, Tim decided to fight back and asked for a trial. During the trial, they presented no evidence and had no witnesses.
Tim’s evidence was not allowed, and he was also not allowed to testify on his own behalf. The HRO was extended for 2-years for Brittany and 10-years for Steven. All based upon lies, lies, and more lies.
Tim tried to hire a lawyer to help with this, but was told that no attorney would help. The reason? Because Tim was told what happened to him was “corruption” and that no lawyer would help, because it meant they would also have to fight against the corruption, and that could have negative impacts on their own career. Despite Tim offering four-times the going rate to be represented, he was told no.
Steven had earlier asked Tim to send him money to help with monthly expenses. Tim agreed and was sending money to Steven every month to help pay their bills. Steven then lied to Tim’s daughter and said that her dad had promised to help but then refused to. The truth is that Tim had sent Steven money every month for 2 1/2 years. Every month without fail – and has receipts to prove all of this. Despite all the terrible things Steven said and did to Tim and his family – he still helped. That’s the kind of man Tim really is – not the monster Steven created through lies.
Law Enforcement
Between the first and second HRO, Tim went to the Ramsey County Sheriff’s Office (Minnesota) and asked for help. They interviewed him and reviewed the evidence he has. Their conclusion is that Tim is innocent, and if the court would refer this matter back to them, they would complete their investigation and likely “put Steven in jail.” When asked what Tim did wrong, they replied; nothing, you are a good, good father.
Sadly, Tim never got the chance to ask the court for this referral.

Who We Are
We are family and friends of Tim, who have seen him try everything he can to work things out peacefully. Whether that be directly by making attempts at peace with Steven 15 different times (which Steven refused each time), asking the church to help, only to be told by their attorney to not contact them ever again, or through the courts, where their lawyer lied to Tim and also about him. That same court also acted improperly by not allowing evidence to be presented, not letting Tim testify on his own behalf, and finding him guilty of violating an HRO by accepting testimony of second-hand knowledge (Steven) when the direct witness (Brittany) proved Steven’s claim was false. (Proof of this is on the evidence page).
We have seen Tim go from being a bright and happy hard-working husband, father and friend, living in a nice home, to a depressed and (sometimes) suicidal man, who is divorced and became homeless – now living alone in a small apartment, and his career has essentially ended. Even worse, his relationship with his daughter, Brittany, whom he was once incredibly close to, has been shattered due to incessant lies about him. These lies are from one man: Steven Anderson – a pastor at Calvary Church in Roseville, MN.
We know who the real Tim is and it’s not the man we currently see. We don’t believe the lies being told about him by Steven (and repeated by his attorney). The only one who believes the lies is Brittany – and this is because Steven manipulated her into believing terrible things about her dad. Tim loves all his kids endlessly. His other 3 kids hang out with him and feel completely safe and see his love for them. They know what kind of amazing dad he really is. There is a reason 2 of them did not attend Brittany’s wedding – and neither did anyone on Tim’s side of the family.
We know the real Tim – and are standing up for him. We will not stop until the truth comes out. Who are we? We are family and friends who are now collectively his voice – because he was silenced.
If you want to know what kind of truly amazing person Tim really is, please visit his ministry page:

Keep in mind there is ONE person alone that is claiming that Tim is horrible and violent. Thats’ right, all of this was caused by the LIES of ONE person.
But we know the truth. And we are united in fighting for him. You did well our dad, brother, and friend – we will take it from here.
We love you!
